Sickness be gone. Two weeks has been long enough. Argh. 

To add to our woes, I'm back at Uni as of last week. Double argh.

Oz. Two.

Oz, the sequel. Snapped during our week long getaway from Sydney, at the tail end of our, um, 3 week long getaway from Munich....cough. Skimming through our photos after the trip, we realised there weren't a great deal of photos actually taken while we were away. These are kinda the best of a bad bunch. With all that sunshine, daily jaunts to the beach, tours of Byron Bay and its hinterland, backyard cricket and general lazing around, we forgot to document it all. The sign of a good holiday, perhaps?

Spring is around the corner, the weather is warming up, we're making travel plans-a-plenty (including a few return trips to our favourite places) and in a couple of weeks time we have a date with this songbird. Life is sweet.

Fasching.

Fasching celebrations in downtown Marienplatz. Munich's answer to Carnival or Mardi Gras (more New Orleans, less Sydney). There are stages with DJ's and live music, food and drink and the citizens of Munich turn out in fancy dress to party and see in the start of Lent. Most people are allowed the afternoon off work (or if you were as lucky as Dave, the whole day!) and shops close early so nobody misses out. With the exception of Oktoberfest, I've never  seen so many Germans, letting loose and living it up. I just wish our photos could do the celebration justice!

Oz. One.

Some random moments from the first leg of our Sydney Summer tour 11/12. Better late than never, right?! Thank you Mother Nature for heeding the call. Perhaps not for the entire duration of the trip. But close enough is good enough. Especially in comparison to the record sub-zero temps we've been experiencing as of late. And why there ain't no telling what tomorrow brings, at least we do know it'll be plus degrees celsius for the first time in 2 weeks. Hurrah!

Happy 32 years Papa Field. The first but hopefully not the last time you see yourself replicated in sugary goodness. We had all the best intentions of checking out the Egon Schiele exhibition here in town but due to sheer laziness, the best we could do was head to our local spielplatz for some swinging hijinks. Looking a tad different than it did here. Strangely enough we were the only kids there...
