...of Miss Elke Isabella Frankie. Also known around these parts as Cranky Frankie. She insisted on wearing that (two sizes too small) Winter hat and pushing both of those puppies at once. Again. Just like here. I've learnt the hard way not to try and help her. Sheesh.
It's bloody hard work getting a smile for the camera. Hence the finger clicking. Though why I thought that would evoke a smile is beyond me. When Oliver was a bub, he would flash a smile as soon as he was within a cooee of a camera. Elke? Such a tough crowd. If we're on our way somewhere and I stop to take a photo, she will scream blue murder. Scream! As if to say, "You're slowing us down Mama. MOVE!" Girl on a mission and god forbid anyone or anything gets in her way. Dave asked me the other day if this was normal behaviour for a 19 month old. It is, right? Right?
Photo 5: an homage to the gorgeous Olive, but think less 'smile' (Olive) and more 'grimace' (Elke). With the added touch of dried yoghurt.

ps Excuse the number of photos. We've been confined to the indoors due to sickness and rain for the past 2 days. But today there was sun. For the first time in weeks. Or is that months? According to Dave, if August doesn't pick up this will be our last Summer here. And I use the term 'Summer' very lightly.

I love this kid. Nuff said. xx
I love everything about this. The fact that she's completely ignoring your click is hilarious. The fact that you thought you could make her smile from clicking, is even more so. Just look at that cheeky-I-know-best look on her face in that past photo. She is the cutest thing. I wonder how long it too her to get both those things down that path .... Kellie xx PS LOVE those shorts.
*swoon* at her name in full! I bet you have fun pulling that out once in a while!
She sounds so feisty and determined - love it! Whatever you do - don't buy her a rocking horse or she'll be trying to drag all three down the street.
oh, and how could I forget to comment on that hat...it made me laugh out loud!
Kellie - Olive is just like this isn't she? Please say yes, please say yes. I know! Who was I kidding with the clicking. Does that really work on anyone?! x
Claire - We had to ride the scooter all the way to Oli's kindy yesterday. What should've taken 10 minutes took 3 times as long. All of this you have to look forward to in the next year or so! x
Elke is just so cute.
While she sounds like cheeky monkey I bet you just want to hug her all day!!
Oh, and I love the blue colour of your watch!
