Back From Blighty.

A bunch of crappy photos taken today with the Iphone. I bought these fancy lollipops at Selfridges in London...one for Oli and one for me. Or so I thought. I can't believe I thought I could pull a fast one on Elke. That'll learn me. Oli hardly made a dent in his before he handed it back: ''too sweet mama''. And Elke? Polished that puppy right off (with a little help from yours truly. Of course).

London was fantastic. Four glorious days (albeit in not so glorious weather) spent doing anything I wanted. Whenever I wanted. One of the highlights of the trip had to be the Miro exhibition at the Tate. Nat and I could've quite happily bunkered down in there all day. And because of the crappy weather, we very almost did! I did a bit lot of shopping, drinking, eating, sleeping. I had my first experience in a London pub without kids which was really good fun. And I didn't have to visit the Natural History Museum for the first time in a looong time. But all good things must come to an end. And I was kinda missing those chickens back in Munich. Not surprisingly, Dave had a blast with them and while I was gone, not only had he rearranged the house, but he'd bought some new plants, a rug and had even taught Oli how to play Chess! Apparently it was so much fun I'm allowed to fly solo again anytime I want. Hmm, I'm thinking Copenhagen with mum in October...

And please excuse the lack of photos. (We snapped the photo below walking back from the Tate) I was having so much fun, I kept forgetting to pull my camera out. Caught in the moment without actually catching the moment. Next time Gadget. Next time.

Glad you had an awesome time. Very rubbish of us not to arrange a meet up. But hey, if you're allowed to fly solo more often you'll have to be UK bound again after Christmas to visit the new babe! xx

ps. Shoe size is a UK 5(ish)...why?

pps. Good girl Elke. Nice to see you're not letting the side down when it comes to munching down the sugar. x

Sounds perfect ... gotta love the chance to have a break and be your own person. And also to have such a lovely hubbie to do all of those wonderful things and have the kids ... yep sounds perfect!

You know you've had an amazing time when you've no photos to show for it.

Love Tate - I'm a little jealous. x
