End.

My little Doppelgänger...or not. It always blows me away when I see photos of us together. I think it's safe to say she didn't get that blonde hair or those blue eyes from me. Her sweet tooth on the other hand. All me, I'm afraid.

Yesterday was Oli's kindergarten Sommerfest. We've been for the last 2 years but this one was pretty special. Oli's third and final 'Fest, one in which he unofficially 'graduated' from Kindy. That's right. He's off to school in September. I was holding it all together pretty well until the kids sang Over the Rainbow. Then I cried. A river. It's an end of an era for our little man and we're all a bit sad about it. His kindy and its international community have been like a family to us. We're going to miss it like crazy. At least we all walk away with some amazing friends and Ola, with an extra language under his belt.

Photos to be posted as soon as I've sorted through all 500 of them. Did I mention it was his last Sommerfest?

Our mate Tim is staying with us this week and then I'm off to London on Friday to stay with my lovely friend Nat. By myself. For four days. Oli asked me why daddy couldn't go instead. Ola, I honestly think he wished he could. But he ain't.

Ps I haven't stopped looking at this pic since it was posted a week ago. Ah beautiful Margherita from Firenze, where o where did you get those pants?

Over the rainbow would totally get me, too! Yes, the end of an era... but also the beginning of a new one which might be just as fun!

...what is it with these little girls taking after their Dads? I'm not sure I got a look in, either. I love that last picture!

the last day is one thing- but 500 photo's? really? ;)

it is indeed true- pale ale is the Coopers of choice (thats why we bought a case) but they didn't have any in the fridge section so we had to get the sparkling to have with dinner. I'll be flushed from the green pale ale tonight- don't you worry ;)

can you get it where you are?

also, tell me- are you an artist? What else takes an aussie to Munich?

Hi Em!
Ha, yes 500 seems a tad extreme I know but I was asked by the kindy to be photographer for the day. No Pale Ale here unfortunately but Germany has the best beer in the world (thanks to very tight Purity Laws) and so much cheaper than Aussie beer. You won't pay more than a Euro for a beer in the supermarket!
My husband's work has brought us here. But the artist gig sounds far more interesting! xx

German Beer is awesome (i come from a family of Beer lovers, we have imported beer tastings as a ritual)- what are some of your faves, ill hunt them down at my lover Dan Murpheys place

I remember singing Over The Rainbow at school. I whole-heartedly sympathise with your rivers of tears - I can cry just thinking about sending Che off to school.

Em! Why won't Blogger let me comment on your blog? It doesn't let me comment on my own blog either unless I comment as 'Name/URL'. Has anyone else had any probs or is it just me? Grrrr!
