Wet Wet Wet. A weekend spent indoors, reading goodies from Berlin and playing with new toys. Though by Sunday afternoon, cabin fever had well and truly set in and just as we were about to climb the walls, Mother Nature heeded our call and out came the sunshine. We celebrated the momentous occasion by climbing walls (literally), jumping in puddles and eating ice-cream. A lovely end to a truly shitty week.
We did manage to (finally, FINALLY) purchase a helmet and bike seat to enable Elke to whizz around on the back of our bikes, so the weekend wasn't completely a wash-out. And Oli informed us that not only is there a ghost living in his room but he has a small cluster of imaginary friends. Soldier friends. Half of which have already parted seas for Australia. The rest will remain here until further notice. Small mercies.

Glad you got some sunshine in the end - but very happy it was wet enough to see Elke in those gorgeous yellow gumboots! That last shot is priceless!

Ha Zigsma. What you can't see in that photo is the can of spraypaint in Elke's left hand. She may look innocent enough but don't let the yellow gumboots fool you. She's straight outta Compton!
