Cold. Cold. Cold.
Just an hour and half drive from Munich lies this little gem of a city. That amazing stone bridge up there was built in the 12th Century and was used by the knights of the 2nd and 3rd crusades on their way to the Holy Land. There were even remains of Roman fortress walls. As well as an interesting assortment of laneways and little streets, chock-a-block full of eclectic shops selling everything from leather goods and jewellery to xmas decos and snow globes. I even found an amazing leather jacket that may just put an end to my endless search for the perfect one. My own leather jacket crusade, if you will. But due to it being a public holiday, all the shops were closed. Looks like a return trip may just be on the cards. (Mum nodding head furiously in agreement!)

Excuse the lack of Elke pics. Cold and miserable did not a nice picture make.

You guys do some amazing things, your kids are so lucky. Go the leather jacket find. Hurry, get yourself back there to buy it.
It looks freezing there. Cold to the bone. There isn't too much of a summer here yet, it's not sizzling. That pic was taken in Melbourne, in the evening on the windy bay – hence the outfit. Still gets cold at night in Melbourne – not like here.
I've just written a whole paragraph about weather. How dull of me! Happy new year to you and yours, congrats on the leather jacket find. x
so winterlich!!!
happy new year to you and your family bianca!
Look at you, all wrapped up against the snow. It's actually warmed up a bit here, thank goodness. I had got to the point that I was wearing so many layers under my coat (best count was 7!) that I popped a button. Ha!
I may have given Ben strict colour instructions on the Connie front - no neon for me. But apparently, sunny yellow were very tricky to track down. I do like to set a good challenge. x
ps. I got serious end of book mourning too. Like I'd never see old friends again. Mmm, lame? And I agree. Is R and H really that likely? I do love a Happily Ever After ending though. xx
oh and pps. the new year most definitely equals the lifting of a shoe ban. Now go, purchase many pairs x

Tolle fotos von Regensburg. Ich wohne im Umland und es ist sehr interessant, meine Lieblingsstadt durch anderer Augen zu sehen.
Viele Grüße
Kristin
Oh that looks like a great little place. Hey do you also take on the little 4 wheeled kinderwagons with a rocking NZ Mountain buggy? Great!
Oh I went to Uni in Regensburg! And I used to live in the red building in the 8th picture from the top! They have the best cake shops there too make sure you eat some CAKE for me!
