We only just arrived home from Stockholm a few hours ago and already we're planning a return trip. We have fallen completely in love with this city. The buildings, the harbour, the shopping, the people. More little blondies than you can poke a stick at. We rented a 3 bedroom appartment in the trendy 'Sofo' area (hotel rooms and kiddies don't mix, this we learnt the hard way). Choc-a-block full of the most amazing cafes, clothing and furniture shops. There were discoveries to be made around every corner. Things to be bought, coffee to be drunk, parks to be played in. And the people-watching! Too many cool things (and people!), too little time.
Compared with Paris and London, getting around Stockholm with kiddies in tow was a piece of cake. Not relying on the Metro/Underground definitely made it easier. Instead we mixed it up with ferries, buses and trams, none of which we were on for more than 10 minutes at a time.
We came home broke but happy.
