Two weekends ago we hired a car and spent the day at Tegernsee which is a small town on the Tegernsee lake within the Bavarian Alps, 50 km south of Munchen. We had a typically Bavarian lunch - ie meat, meat, potatoes and more meat washed down with a weiss beer - at the brauhaus (brewery) which is almost 1000 years old and Dave was more than happy he came away with some locally brewed beer. Whereas for me this was just another painful reminder that I'm unable to drink some of the best beer in the world for another 3 months. Well I do have the odd taste here and there...
