Take it from me, when you haven"t ridden a bicycle for about 10 years and your friend offers to take you on a bicycle tour, always make sure that they aren't planning a 45 km mountain tour from the South of Munich to Austria!! This morning I'm hurting in all the wrong places.
But in all honesty, what a great experience, and how German of me to go biking through mountains!!. The Baverian Alps bordering Austria are just beautiful, crystal clear rivers and streams, waterfalls, cows with bells, the occassional cafe' stop along the way ... just magic.
The rugged terrain offerred plenty of shirts' off "Vladamir Putin" photo opportunities as well.
After our legs had stopped shaking, Marcus and I met up with Bianca, Petra and the kids afterwards at Tegernsee for a well-deserved swim.
